The sun unleashed an M1.7 class CME today with an Earth directed CME.At 00:43 UT, sunspot AR1865 erupted with a flash of radiation. The CME should arrive on October 15-16 and could cause geomagnetic storms.
There are currently 6 Sunspots facing Earth. The source of this CME, AR1865 can be seen on the lower left. As you can see it is well position to impact Earth with any eruptions it may produce.
