In an ideal world Solar would make economic sense...of course in this one it does not. Currently for most people part of using Solar is for the hobby of it, part of it to save earth, part to have power when the grid goes down, and part to stick it to the man!

I also think the current cost of panels is stupid and in reality a panel should be about $25. Why you may ask.....well its friggin made of the 2nd most plentiful element on the planet thats why...

So here is my 2 cents.....We just spent 700 billion on a bailout for the .....well what the hell are they any way.....that money is enough to fund NASA for the next 50 years.... SO we take EVERY engineer at NASA and tell them to solve the problem of cheap, efficent solar cells. Gee if you put that much brainpower on it you think we light come up with something...... in reality that is not enought for all of NASA to do so we also tell them to come up with cheap, high efficency, light weight batteries....gosh....think we could do that with the equivilant of all of NASA working in it....hmmmmmm

Ok so now we have cheap panels, cheap batteries...hmmmmmmmmm

Thats where the gov should be putting our money not giving it the friggin overpaid CEOs at AIG..,.....

SO THERE!!
